Will 2010 be the Year of the Electric Vehicle?

List of upcoming electric vehicles by 2010!!!

Chevrolet Volt:
I think this car is whats going to save GM because of its versatility of alternative fuel plus I believe is a great looking car compared to other electric cars.

Saturn Vue Plug-in Hybrid:I think Saturn is think towards the future.

Toyota Prius Plug-in: A very known vehicle for it's efficient mpgs.

Jeep Renegade Concept: its working with bio fuel just like the volt, only that this vehicle will use diesel instead.

Nissan Electric Car by 2010:
Nissan has blue prints for an electric car I've seen prototypes online but I believe the idea is premature, if Nissa don't want to stay behind in the Auto industry I suggest it starts announcing its objective goals towards 2010.

Outsourcing Makes General Motors a Real-Time, Global Company

Outsourcing Makes General Motors public enemy number 1

On October 15-16 at the Javit Center

General Motor's Group Vice President and CIO, Ralph Szygenda is going to talk in the

Outsourceworld event about about the key services and processes that should be outsourced

and how the practice has given General Motors a global reach. GM is the pioneer and founder of

offshoring furthermore I've read that it has given them "edge", flexibility and speed towards

reaching and grasping new technology. I want to say as well that not only do I think offshoring is

hurting every company slowly but it can harm a countrys economy just like the U.S. because it's

a republican state of mind in which I believe the theory will never work. like presidential

candidate Obama said "more for the one with the most, and hope that it can sprinkle down for

those with the least" it's a method that mathematically will not work.

GM confirms sale of Hummer and French factory

GM confirms sale of Hummer and French factory

!!!!

I just read an inside scoop on GM and on Gm sold the Brand Hummer and a

French transmission factory. GM's treasurer Walter Borst reviled both news at the

Deutsche Bank Leveraged Finance Conference in Arizona. with the sales it freed

up GM for 4 billion dollar. GM plans to free up 15 billion dollars by the year 2010.

I think Hummer is a great brand that will evolve with another owner not with GM.

Hummer would of been a great 1st generation electric SUV. in 1992 Arnold

Swarchenegger
was The first person to

own a Hummer after persuading manufacturers to make them for non-army

purposes. Now "The Governator" wants to be politically correct because of his

field and now is against Hummers.

Who is Henry Paulson?

Who is Henry M. Paulson Jr?

I wonder what is the he thinking? The evil looking genius is Henry M. Paulson is a Harvard

Business graduate who began working with one of America's essential Banks Goldman Sachs

since 1974. Henry Paulson Jr Most recent position at Goldman Sachs was chairman and CEO.

Now he's the secretary of treasury and is responsible for the 700 billion dollars wall street

bailout. The only thing that worry's me was that he was appointed by president George W. Bush

to replace John Snow.

but I recently educed a little research on Henry M. Paulson Jr and he is not a bad man to leave

in charge because he has an achieving resume at Goldman Sachs and I wouldn't be as worry.

Soft economy drags on car sales

Soft economy drags on car sales

I've read an article in the Detroit newspaper today talking about how the struggling economy is

slowing down the auto industries yearly quota. With wall street in trouble the banks are being very

stingy with their money, making it harder and harder for the consumer to finance or lease a

vehicle. Trucks already in a difficult market is being cut back in production,

Second shift at Louisiana GM plant ends; 798 jobs are cut

Second shift at Louisiana GM plant ends; 798 jobs are cut

I just read an article in the detroit news paper about how the GM assembly plant ended 798

jobs in Louisiana because GM wants to cut about 10 billion dollars for the future. A lot of people are

unemployed because of the struggling economy in America and GM needed to cut employees from

the production of H3 and pickup trucks because of their challenging Market in today's economy.

G1 Android phone

G1 Android phone

I've been reading the inside scoop on the new t-mobile cell phone that has been developed by

HTC and google on the android platform. I been reading comments as well and I have have the

idea that any cell phone that is good is always being compared to the Apple Iphone, because they

have the phone market in the U.S. so far.

Senate approves auto industry loans

Senate approves auto industry loans

I just read this article from the detroit news and I came to think that it's the best choice so far and

it will be a good investment because it will boost up the economy and will help the environment and

its the best investment since the war in Iraq.

GM wants 100-mpg rating for '10 Volt

GM wants 100-mpg rating for '10 Volt!!

I just read an article from the Detroit newspaper about how General Motors wants its miles per

gallon to reach at least 100, I believe they are in the right track to success with this new idea

because this could be the future for GM, auto industry and for a clean environment. In the near

future Don Foley Executive director of Progressive Automotive X Prize said "Reliance on an mpg

standard alone will soon be outdated and will not accurately reflect the need for higher fuel

efficiency," he said, adding that there is a new "proposed unit of measure, MPGe -- miles per

gallon or energy equivalent" and I agree with that because I don't think we shouldn't look for a

need for gasoline at all.

Ford polishes F-150's marketing

Ford polishes F-150's Marketing

Now that FORD are in a difficult market with it's F-150 truck their trying to change their whole Marketing strategy specially with pick up sales declining as you can see in the graph. Ford is number one in it's market world wide. Ford's market strategy for the F-150 is to slash some prices and try to built better fuel economy pick up truck. Ford are doing consumer research so it can have an effective target marketing. I believe Ford thought ahead and delayed the F-150 for a good reason even though I believe they should have a better fuel economy truck because of the financial crisis the country is in.

Slumping U.S. market hurts Japanese automakers

Slumping U.S. market hurts Japanese automakers

A domino effect taken place with auto industries loosing and gaining profits in different countries.

This has been the case for Japanese auto industries for the past recent month of august. The

weak U.S. economy has impacted the world with low auto sales but China auto sales has risen, it

seems to me the money is circulating well in china's economy.

Auto financing aid sought

Auto financing aid sought
Chrysler, trade group want $700B federal bailout to include bad लोंस

Auto finance companies are pitching to the government about bailing them out as well not just bad mortgage loans. Auto finance wants this to be included with the 700 billion dollar bail out in of the 25 billion for automakers to produce new car energy which in my opinion I believe they are pushing their luck with the governnment and is going to create a bigger national debt because according to the DetroitNews 10 percent of the automakers bad loans are classified as distressed!!!

House passes $25B in auto लोंस फॉर ऑटो makers

House passes $25B in auto loans

I agree with this Bill because I think it is going to help out our economy and we

don't have to depend on foreign oil and high gas prices in the future. On another note

it's a very good idea that the government express the idea of low interest on the

loan because like that we can get a good price on the vehicles and is a win-win
situation.!!!

$25B fed auto aid in sight

David Shepardson / Detroit News Washington Bureau

WASHINGTON -- Congress is likely to approve by the end of the week funding for $25 billion in low-cost government loans to aid the struggling domestic auto industry after more than a year of debate, congressional and auto officials said Monday.

By week's end Congress expected to OK low-cost loans for struggling domestic industry, which I think is a good thing because it is going to save a lot of jobs in the industry 100 of thousands of jobs, and hopefully they will think to stop off shoring jobs.

Testing the Cars as Chrysler Goes Electric

Yes, Chrysler. After a year of being the subject of suggestions that the company

has a weak product pipeline and lacks a growth plan, the country's #5 automaker is

making a big splash showing some electric models it plans to roll out in 2010.

this new product line of electric powering is going to revolutionize the car

industry and oil market. it is going to be a race with all the car industries with

the revolutionary electric vehicles.

A Star is Reborn

2009 Chevrolet Camaro

GM hopes to make history - again. The Chevy Camaro, a classic muscle car born in

the 60's, is back, and NASCAR star Dale Earnhardt, Jr. is the first to take the wheel.

This is an example of person marketing. GM exclusively picked the son of the NASCAR

legend Dale Earnhardt and market the vehicle with presence alone talking exclusively

about the product (Chevy Camaro).

CHEVY VOLT: THE FUTURE IS ELECTRIFYING Fully Charged 2010

Chevy Volt is designed to move more than 75 percent of America's daily commuters without a single drop of gas.(1) That means for someone who drives less than 40 miles a day, Chevy Volt will use zero gasoline and produce zero emissions.
Unlike traditional electric cars, Chevy Volt has a revolutionary propulsion system that takes you beyond the power of the battery. It will use a lithium-ion battery with a variety of range-extending on-board power sources, including gas and, in I some vehicles, E85 ethanol(3) to recharge the battery while you drive beyond the 40-mile battery range. And when it comes to being plugged in, Chevy Volt will be designed to use a common household plug.
Chevy Volt

I think this is a great revolutionary idea that GM has a great strategy to combat high gas prices and

Environmentalism issues concerning global warning, pollution and ozone layer. Now that's an "American Revolution".

GM to drop Super Bowl ads

According to TNS Media Intelligence GM have spent over 77.1 million dollars in the

Superbowl advertisements over the years I believe GM has gotten smarted and more

cautious with their Marketing funds because not only did it proved that it wasn't very

effective, marketing in the Superbowl it but as well it was not efficiency.

Is Apple's success the result of luck or skill?

According to Forrester, Apple has finally reached the single milestone that could change the dynamic of the computing business for good: its U.S. laptop market share has reached 10.6 percent during the second quarter of 2008. Just one year ago, it captured just 6.6 percent of the same market.

I believe that Apple's recent success is a matter of luck and a small portion of skills because Microsoft have not been affective but Apple has been effective and efficient with it's resource because 10 years ago they where in a verge on bankruptcy.

what happend on tuesday

What took place in class in Tuesday was that we started talking about how we need to keep

blogging and how blogs is a semester project and that we can't pass withought doing the

project and we wouldn't even be able to receive a grade, furthermore Professor Evans kept

reminding us about participation and how important is it in the class and then Evans Broke it

down to us by numbers on what we need to do to even want an A. During that period we kept

talking about GM and whats going on with GM. During that same period we spoke about a

quiz and what we need to study.

GM looking for a cross over vehicle

GM plans compact, multi-purpose vehicle

Automaker looks at European trend toward developing minivans and SUVs on a smaller scale.

Gm plans for a multi-purpose vehicle for a European market and is hoping to quintuple the European market sales of the light crossover vehicles to 750,000 by the year 2011.
Gm wants the Chevrolet design to carry into the new concept vehicle and to insert the new generation of fuel efficiency adding diesel and a 2.0 engine.

I think this is a great Idea for various reason because it serves as a multipurpose vehicle, great idea of a sporty family car and great fuel efficiency plus its better for the environment and not to mention marketing it to the European economy.

What was discussed in class 9/9/08

On tuesday we took a quiz and later we went over the answers like who was Stuwert Mott and
Walkter B chrystler. On another note we spend time talking about trans site radio and who

made them and who actually made profit of it. General Motors was another topic we spoke about

and their big news on how they are trying to get 50 billion dollars of the U.S. government. we

spent a small portion of the time talking about taking your hat off when coming into class and we

spent a large portion talking about "How to get an A in class" in which we spoke about how

important is you blog post andhow we need to blog every day and if we don't blog then we need

to look ahead and drop the class because we wont be able to past because it's a "semester

project", blogging questions and that we need to add our name in our blog so Professor Evan can

identify our blog plus how theres no excuses that every excuses Professor Evan has heard it.

GENERAL MOTORS, (The Industrial Giants)

Recently I've researched some information about General Motors and

how it all began. According to the Wikipedia website, GM is a

transnational corporation that was founded in 1908 by

William C. Durant
who fought through the great depression and even After 100 years

General Motors still generated over 180 billion in revenue even

after the 38 billion dollar loss of 2007. GM is own by share holders

from all over the world. General motors plays a critical part in the
U.S. economy and other countries as well.
